Last week, President Trump’s Executive Branch placed the National Institutes of Health under an unprecedented set of restrictions, including a communications blackout, a cut on diversity-based initiatives, and a cancellation of grant review panels.

In collaboration with Fair Research Careers Now, HAW is taking immediate action by organizing to call our congressional representatives on Thursday, January 30, 3 PM – 5 PM EST to demand NIH restrictions be lifted immediately and to protect NIH funding.

We need your help joining a phone banking session at (we will have phone numbers, talking points, etc. for you):

Thursday, January 30, 3 PM – 5 PM
Longwood: Warren Alpert Building (WAB) Cafeteria

Bring your colleagues: Postdocs, Grad Students, Professors, anyone and everyone is welcome. We are all on the same team here.

In the meantime, support our collective power to shape and secure our workplace in the face of policies like this.

  1. Attend an in-person bargaining session (RSVP)
  2. Watch the live streamed bargaining sessions (RSVP)

  4. Volunteer as a liaison to share HAW news with colleagues
